Our Approach
We are proud of our Health & Safety achievements at Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon, which have included a number of prestigious awards from the National Irish Safety Organisation. The Health & Safety initiative at LTTS constantly evolves as new issues arise with the introduction of new technologies and changing processes. It is important that complacency regarding Health & Safety is not allowed to set in and that a culture of "that's the way it's always been" is avoided. The successful implementation of our Health & Safety Policy is as a result of our commitment to continual training and active involvement people.

Safety Policy
It is the policy of this Company that as far as is practicable every effort will be made to ensure the safety, health and welfare of all its employees whilst at work.

The Company recognises the responsibilities placed on it by Safety Legislation and accepts that the health and safety of its employees and those affected by their work must be given priority. The Company will take all reasonable practical steps to ensure that safe systems of work are devised and implemented by all personnel and sub-contractors under their control. Also that all works, structures, plant and equipment are safely designed, constructed, maintained and managed. The Company recognised that statutory requirements placed thereon are accepted as minimum requirements only.

The Company in order to meet these safety objectives will provide sufficient resources of time, personnel and finance. It is also the policy of this Company to provide sufficient information, training and supervision to its workforce in pursuance of these objectives and to do everything reasonably practicable to ensure, sub contractors provide similar arrangements.

The Company requires that contractors working on its behalf apply Safety and Environmental standards fully consistent with our own and achieve comparable levels of performance.

All employees will be made aware of this policy and of their duties in relation to it. The policy will be kept up-to date particularly if the business changes in nature and size. To ensure this policy and way in which it has been operated will be reviewed annually.*

Our legal and moral responsibilities for our own safety and the safety of others dictate that everyone must know and comply with the regulations and safety requirements pertaining to their work and full co-operation is required from all.
